Receiving the 5-star NCAP Safety Rating back in September, the 2013 Nissan Altima brought home another award today with the “Top Safety Pick+” (TSP+) from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
To earn the TSP+, vehicles must get good ratings in 4 of 5 tests, and have to receive no less than acceptable rating in the fifth test.  The 2013 Altima got good ratings in front, side, roof and rear crash tests, and an acceptable rating in the newly introduced small overlap frontal test

2014 Infiniti QX60 (formerly JX) Hybrid Infiniti today announced a hybrid version of the QX60 (formerly JX [ see name changes ]) to join the Infiniti QX60 lineup in 2014.  The 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid (or JX hybrid) will make its global debut at the upcoming New York International Auto Show from March 29th to April 7th. The 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid will be powered by a 2.5-L supercharged engine and 15kW electric motor.  Teaming with an advanced CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), the vehicle delivers approximately 250 horsepower with projected estimated fuel economy of about 26 mpg – 24 percent improve over the non-hybrid QX60 models.  The 26 mpg is projected to be the best mpg rate for a 7-passenger in the segment.
