Lexus showcased its future design direction by unveiling its new concept for a hybrid sport coupe – the LF-LC concept. The Lexus LF-LC Concept is front-engined, rear-wheel drive with Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, which delivers both driving performance and fuel efficiency. Challenged by the Lexus Center in Japan and created at Calty design studio in Newport Beach, California, the LF-LC concept is highlighted by dynamic shapes and expansive use of glass. Exterior, it’s highlighted with aluminum surround, mesh pattern of the spindle grille, air intakes in the bottom coroners of the grille, L-shaped daytime running lights, vertical fog lamps wit fading dot matrix pattern, tail lamps, powerful quad exhaust and a glass roof. Interior, the LF-LC incorporates a remote touch-screen device that allows the driver to comfortably operate controls without shifting position or altering line-of-sight. Lexus has revealed a first few pictures of its new sport coupe concept, named LF-LC. The LF-LC concept will be officially debuted at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 9, 2012. The LF-LC concept was designed and built from scratch at the company’s Calty design studio in Newport Beach, Calif. Stay tuned for more information and pictures of this concept car next month.

Tokyo, October 21, 2009 — Lexus announces today the official launch of the LFA, a two-seat supercar scheduled to go into production at the end of 2010 as the pinnacle of the Lexus “F” premium sports car series. Pre-sales start today. Ultra-responsive and extremely stable even when taken to the edge, the LFA creates a sense of reassurance that opens up a new world of driving emotion, exhilarating the senses to move the driver in more ways than one.
