Toyota Prius c to Join Prius Family After U.S Debut at the 2012 NAIAS

The Toyota Prius c made its debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show and will join the Prius family to be available to U.S market in March of 2012. Having a starting MSRP below $19,000, the Prius c will be available in four trim levels offering desirable features, equipment, and enhanced capability. Designed to function as an urban friendly vehicle, the letter “c” stands for “city”, the Prius c has city fuel economy rating of 53 mpg. When traveling on the highway, it has fuel economy rating of 46 mpg. The Prius c is smaller and lighter than the midsize Prius. It measures 157.3 inch long, 56.9 inch high and 66.7 inch width. It weighs 2,500 lbs (3,042 for the midsize Prius). Along with an electric motor, the Prius c is powered by a 1.5-iter 4-cylinder gasoline engine. Debuted at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, the Toyota NS4 concept is a dedicated plug-in hybrid, which separate from the Prius family, signals a new styling direction and vision of Toyota. The NS4 features emerging technologies from Microsoft, Intel and Saleforce. Its Human-Machine Interface (HMI) provides a user interface built around a multi-touch screen with the look and feel of a smartphone.
