Debuted at the 2012 New York Auto Show as  a concept car  about 7 months ago, the Acura RLX production model official made its debut today at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. As the Acura’s flagship model, replacing the RL, the 2014 RLX is a luxury performance sedan which is the most advanced, powerful and spacious Acura Sedan. The 2014 Acura RLX is motorized by an all-new V-6 engine which produces 310 horsepower and 272 lb.-ft of torque.  Mated with a 6-speed AT, the 2014 Acura RLX is projected to secure a top spot in its class for fuel efficiency, which is rated 20 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway and 24 mpg combined. As a mid-size luxury sedan, the all-new Acura RLX enjoys the best 38” rear-seat legroom; it has the longest 36.4” tandem seating gap, and most voluminous front and rear shoulder space. The 2014 Acura RLX is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2013.

Unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show, the all-new 2014 Acura MDX enters its third generation with better fuel economy and enhanced performance. The 2014 Acura MDX is powered by an all-new 3.5-L V-6 engine producing 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft of torque.  Backed with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the 2014 MDX has a city/highway/combined fuel economy rating of 18/27/21 mpg.  For the 2014, the Acura MDX is also, for the first time, available in even fuel-efficient 2WD configuration, which has a city/highway/combined fuel economy rating of 20/28/23 mpg. In addition to 17 percent improvement in aerodynamic efficiency with new aerodynamic body design, the better fuel economy is also accounted by the fact that the new MDX’s body applies more than 55 percent advanced lightweight materials – including high strength steel, aluminum and magnesium, making its body more rigid and lightweight – 275 lbs. less than the outgoing model.
